Super Bowl Sunday

Well here it is, Super Bowl Sunday and only nine minutes away from kick-off. I am hoping that Seattle will win, as I am a Bengals fan, and I would like to see the Steelers lose.
Now I have a question for you. How many feel that watching the Super Bowl, or any "professional" sport is sin? The reason I ask this is because there are Christians out there who feel it is a sin. Actually, if you look at some Catholic literature, they will also say this. I am not Catholic, but find some of their beliefs interesting. The reason is this, the Mennonites and Amish came from the Catholic church, and still hold to some of their Catholic foundations. Since I have been looking at Mennonites in particular, I find the similarties glaring. I dated a catholic man for two years, and he was more messed up in the head than I was. Not saying Catholics are messed up in the head, just that some of his beliefs, or lack thereof were the cause of our breakup. He knew nothing of what he should or should not believe. He didn't even know about the twelve tribes of Israel, or how they came to be. He didn't even know who Joseph was (until he saw the cartoon) or Jonah, or even David. This was a 40 something year old man who went to mass almost every Sunday. I knew more of what the Catholics believed and why.
In my Assembly of God church this morning, our pastor preached on the Love of God (his usual sermon) as well as mentioning that we need to be careful of what we allow into our homes that comes from the world.
Just wanted to make some of you think for once. =)
In Christ's Love,
